Iris M. Chaney, 83, of Bridgeville, formerly of Milford, DE went to be with the Lord at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. Iris was born in Milford, the daughter of the late Clarence and Hattie May (Jones) Lynch. She began her career as a waitress, working for the Milford Diner, the Rainbow Inn in Little Creek and the old Milford Hotel. She then worked for Perdue Hatchery in Bridgeville for many years, grading chickens until her retirement. She loved to watch TV, especially the "Soaps", game shows and Wheel of Fortune. She loved the Lord and was an avid reader and teacher of the Bible. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Lee Chaney and her brothers and sisters Ralph, Irene, Phyllis and Clarence, Jr.

She is survived by one son Michael Chaney, with whom she lived; one daughter Donna Baker and her husband Rodney, of Greenwood; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on Friday, Decemember 9, 2016 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where services will be held at 1 pm.
