Evelyn R. Scarborough, 86, of Magnolia, DE passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.  Evelyn was born in Andrewville to parents Elver W. and Emma (Workman) Ryan.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Wallace E., Ryan of Andrewville.

Evelyn is survived and loved by her niece Kelley R. Harrell (husband Duane), twin nephews Kris W. Ryan (wife Robin) and Kirk E. Ryan as well as sister-in-law Deanne S. Ryan.  She also cherished her special cousin David Ryan (wife Sandy) as well as being called Aunt Evie by great nieces and nephews.

Following graduation from Greenwood High School, Evelyn enjoyed a career of over 40 years at Reichold Chemical (formerly Playtex) in Dover.  Evelyn's life was consumed with family, travel and in her later year's line dancing.  She was often found at the beach or traveling with Deanne or other relatives.  She was a consistent presence and influence in the lives of Kelley, Kris and Kirk.  Evelyn was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge, the Modern Maturity Center in Dover and the Greenwood Alumni Association.

Friends may call from 12 pm to 1 pm on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington where funeral services will be held at 1 pm. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Milford - Harrington Highway, Harrington.
