Mary Elizabeth Bakersmith, 74, of Millsboro, DE formerly of Crownsville, MD died peacefully Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE surrounded by her family. Mary was born in Lackawanna, NY the daughter of the late Joseph Patrick and Irma Elizabeth (Ruesch) Lyons. She worked as a receptionist at Commercial Emblem in Brentwood, MD for over 25 years before retiring in 2009 then moving to Millsboro, DE. Mary loved to go to Ocean City, MD where she enjoyed sitting on the Boardwalk and taking in the atmosphere that only the beach can provide. She also loved the Christmas holidays.

She is survived by her brother James Joseph Lyons; 3 daughters Jeannie Steward, Patricia Holland and Susan Bakersmith; 3 sons Joseph Bakersmith, William Bakersmith and Timothy Bakersmith; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her companion Oliver Nogule.
