Kathleen A. Coverdale, 70, of Milford, DE and formerly of Scotch Plains, NJ passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at home. She was born in Passaic, NJ the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Tomaskovic. She and her husband Joe owned and operated "The Voice of Hunterdon" Newspaper for 15 years before moving to Delaware. Once in Delaware, she worked at the Delaware State News for 5 years. Kathy loved to play cards, enjoyed reading, going to the slots and always enjoyed a good shopping day. She also loved traveling to Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Most important to Kathy was being a devoted wife, mother, sister and aunt. She loved her family more than anything in the world. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Joseph H. Coverdale in 2014; one brother Emil Tomaskovic and one sister Claire Fraser.

She is survived by two daughters Jacquie Kisiel and her husband Bill, of Rehoboth Beach and Christine Coverdale and her significant other Jenny Badtke, of Germany; a sister-in-law and best friend Noel Coverdale and her husband Earl and brother-in-law Bud Coverdale and his wife Bev, all of Milford; sister-in-law Helen Tomaskovic, of New Mexico; nephews Greg Coverdale and his wife Karen, and Michael Tomaskovic;  nieces Amanda Wright and her husband Brian, Carrie Coverdale and Nancy Nelson; many great nieces and nephews as well as Jessica Nathan, who Kathy considered as her daughter.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday, March 21, 2016 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Avenue, Milford, DE. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 USA / donors@stjude.org or to St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Avenue, Milford, DE  19963.
