I only met Jack through a neighborhood project he was working on last yr. but immediately saw that he was a genuine, personable, caring person. We had many chats over the phone regarding his project and Jack was one you could talk to about anything....he was just that kind of person. Truly wonderful! I will certainly miss his warm demeanor and caring concern for the people in his district. I'm sure he'll serve God well also. Many blessings to his family for their loss (and ours).....

Jack Peterman was a caring and honorable man. He was a pleasure to deal with him even when we were not necessarily on the same side. Many thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Peterman's passing. He was a great man and I have so many fond memories of him and the family. I'll miss running plates of cookies down to him at the Milford Halloween Parade and seeing his smiling face almost every single time I came back to Milford. I remember pitching a fit one time at the farm, when Scott showed me what "culling the chickens" was and Mr. Peterman let me take 2 chicks home as pets. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family - Joyce, Scotty, Barry - I am so, so sorry.

My deepest sympathy to everyone in the family. Jack's wife Sandy and I were best friends when we met in Milford elementary school. I also knew Jack's brother Paul as I went to school with him too. Jack and I met a few years later. I know it is a terrible loss for your family. Jack was a wonderful man.

The entire Delaware National Guard family and I send our condolences and heartfelt sympathy on the passing of our friend and public servant Representative Harold “Jack” Peterman, a great legislator who served his state and community willingly and without reservation. I want you to know that I admired and respected him and considered him a dear friend. I grieve with you.

The full measure of life is making a difference, and Representative Peterman truly made a difference. He epitomized what it means to be a consummate public servant, and his fervor for fairly representing the interests of the citizens of Milford and Delaware is legendary. He was loved by all whose lives he touched, and he touched many, many lives. I feel blessed to have known him, and his memory will live forever in my heart and in the hearts and minds of all Delawareans, particularly those who serve in state government.

While no words of mine can ease your pain or the emptiness you must feel, please know, nonetheless, that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family at this time. May God bless you and give you strength.
