Janice Wright Baker

Janice Wright Baker, of Greenwood, DE passed away Friday, February 16, 2024, at home with the family by her side. She was born and raised on the family farm in Andrewville on September 5, 1937, and graduated from Greenwood High School, class of 1955. She was a member of Independent Bible Fellowship Church, Harrington. Janice was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Charles F. Baker; her parents Maurice W. and Lelia Brown Wright; and a special sister, Sharon Linda Wright. 
 
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Don Christie Jr., two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark C. Baker and Theresa, and Chris W. Baker and Carole;  as well as her grandchildren- Chad Christie (Meg), Ryan Christie, Conor Christie, Melissa Carignan (Dustin), Laura Baker, Elizabeth Hoadley (Kenny) and Erin Baker; and her great grandchildren Quinn and Elle Christie, Everly Christie, Melody, Owen and Charli Carignan, and Reed Hoadley. She is also survived by her sister Doris Larimore; two brothers and sisters-in-law Ronald and Shirleen Wright and Robert and Sylvia Wright. 
 
A viewing will be held from 1 - 2 pm on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the Independent Bible Fellowship Church, 6797 Milford Harrington Hwy, Harrington, DE where services will be held at 2 pm. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Independent Bible Fellowship Church, 6797 Milford Harrington Hwy, Harrington, DE 19952,  or the Down Syndrome Association of DE.
