Catherine Caulo

Catherine Etta Mae Caulo, 75, of Harrington, DE passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, surrounded by family and friends at home.  Catherine was born in Wilmington, DE and the only daughter of five children of the late Alexander and Muriel (Bittle) Emory. 

She was a manager in the food & hospitality service industry for several decades before retiring in 2005. She was a member of the Harrington Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, where she continued her love of food and service in retirement.  Catherine enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it was sailing the open seas or a simple dinner at home.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband “best friend” Steven W. Caulo in 2014.

She was the loving Mother of Steven R. Caulo and AnnaMarie A. Carman. Cherished Mother in Law to Dusty Carman & Phumlarp Caulo and devoted Grandmother “MomMom” to Dane Steven Carman and Juliette Love Carman.

She took great pride in her titles of Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Sister in Law, and Aunt - always fulfilling these rolls with guidance and grace. Catherine “Ms Cat” made life long friendships along the way and was loved deeply by everyone that had the chance to know her. She will be missed with fond memories and love left in the hearts of many. 

Her immediate family appreciates the outreach of sympathy and support by many. For those that are wishing to give (Instead of flowers) your welcome to make a donation in her name to our local ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)

A Celebration of Catherine's Life will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at the Price Community Center, 103 Dorman St. Harrington, DE. Arr. by McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, Harrington.
