William James Hazzard, 87, of Felton, DE passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Milford Memorial Hospital, Bayhealth Medical Center. Jimmy was born in Milford, DE the son of the late Theodore and Reba Hazzard. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Delaware National Guard. Jimmy worked as a typesetter for the Milford Chronicle and the Wilmington News Journal for several years before retiring. He was a former member of the Milford and Wilmington Jaycees. Jimmy was also well known for his singing. 

He is survived by his wife Marion Hazzard; three daughters Catharine Lyons and her husband Terry, Kimberly Hazzard and her husband Patrick Keefe, and Cynthia Hazzard and her partner Charles Sturgeon; two grandchildren Shannon Keenan and Rian Davis; and one great grandson Jonathan Keenan.

A Celebration of Jimmy's Life will be held from 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday, May 20 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 301 SE Front Street, Milford. Letters of condolence may be shared and sent at www.loflandandmcknatt.com. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford, DE.
