Joseph Wayne Haney, Sr., 67, of Ellendale, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Joseph was born in Asheville, NC the son of the late John and Annie Mae (Moore) Haney. He worked as a mechanic for many years. He enjoyed surfing the web looking at different automobiles. Most important to Joseph was his family, especially at Christmas time, when the family would all come together to celebrate the holidays. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Joseph Wayne Haney, Jr. in 2006 and two brothers R.K. Haney and Eugene Haney.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Carol S. (Jerman) Haney; three daughters Mary Haney Moore, Sue Ann Hollenbeck and Tina Craft; 4 sons Herbert McIntire, Tim McIntire, Allen McIntire and Walter McIntire; 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 12 - 1 pm on Friday, September 18, at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where a time of sharing will be held at 1 pm. Graveside services will be held following the time of sharing at Old Paths Church of Christ Cemetery, Redden Road and Rt. 113, Georgetown.
