Gary Keith Corder, 63, of Milford, DE passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at home. Gary was born in Seaford, DE, the son of Lena M. Corder and the late Bobby T. Corder. He was a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School, class of 1970. He was a member of the varsity football and tennis team. In 1974, he graduated from the University of Delaware, receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in History. Gary worked as a field representative for Dominion Enterprises, serving the Delmarva Region for 20 years. Being enthusiastic about history, he stayed current with the daily news, reading a newspaper every day.  Gary was an avid drag racing fan, attending races at Delmar Dragway, Cecil County Raceway and Maple Grove Raceway. He also enjoyed attending car shows, especially the Carlisle Car show every year. He loved sports especially the Philadelphia Flyers and the Minnesota Vikings.  Most important to Gary was his family, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his 3 nieces, attending their sporting events, helping with history homework, and even taking them to dance classes.

He is survived by mother Lena M. (Bell) Corder, of Dover; his brothers Ron Corder and his wife Wanda, of Felton; Geri Corder and his wife Terri, of Greenwood; and his three nieces Kaitlyn N. Corder, of Felton, Darian A. Corder and Brooke A. Corder, both of Greenwood.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where friends may call from 12-2 pm. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Rt 113, Milford.
