William "Bill" Warns, a current resident of Harrington, DE and a former resident of Huntington Station, NY, passed away on March 1, 2025 at the age of 94 while receiving hospice care in Milford, DE. Bill was born in Jamaica, NY, to Edna (Cooper) Warns and Max Warns. Growing up, Bill worked at Warns Beverage, run by his family. He served stateside in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Until his move to Delaware, Bill was a top certified auto mechanic back on Long Island, NY. Bill enjoyed staying busy with a wide variety of do-it-yourself projects.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his son William and his first wife Joan (Gausman) Warns. Bill is survived by his second wife Lucy (Effinger) Warns; his daughters Denise White and her husband Warren and Sheryl Koot and her husband Perry, and a stepdaughter Linda Calloway. Also surviving are numerous grand children, great grandchildren and great great grand children.
Bill will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in our hearts.
