William Jerread

William Jerread, 94, of Harrington, DE passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Country Rest Home, Greenwood. Bill was born in Georgetown, DE the son of the late William G. and Hattie J. (Scott) Jerread. He worked at the Dupont Nylon Plant in Seaford for many years before retiring. He was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge and the Harrington Senior Center. He was an avid gardener and loved having a big vegetable garden every year. He really enjoyed growing Iris's and Lilies, which were his favorite flowers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son William "Gary" Jerread, Jr. and a granddaughter Laverne Jerread.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years Arleen June (Taylor) Jerread; one son Nelson A. Jerread, and two daughters Junanne M. Meyer and Karen J. Jerread; one granddaughter Tara; two great grandsons Jacob and Mark as well as several great great grandchildren.
