Thomas Nolan, 79, of Milford, DE formerly of Monsey and Garneville, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at home. Tom was born in the Bronx, NY the son of the late John and Margaret (Schipits) Nolan. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged in 1969. He was the owner and auto mechanic of Mike’s Atlantic in Monsey, NY for several years before retiring in 2004 from Rockland Community College as a computer supervisor. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife JoAnn; his son Thomas John Nolan; his sister Barbara Zeisler; his mother and father-in-law Carmella and Michael Morro; and his sisters-in-law Patricia Cuomo and Marie Scandiffio.
He is survived by his daughter Patricia and her husband Lewis; two sons John and his wife Alisa and Michael and his wife Karri; and his grandchildren Gabrielle, Matthew, Landon, James, Alexandra and Daniel.
We very much want to honor Tom’s life and together share our appreciation of his contributions to the community, however, in consideration of the current public health environment, and to protect the health of Tom’s family and friends, A Celebration of Tom’s Life will announced at a later date once restrictions have been lifted.
