Steven Ray Hopkins

Steven Ray Hopkins, age 60, of Harrington, DE passed away peacefully with family by his side at Polaris Healthcare Center, Milford on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Steven was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Marion Hopkins, brother John and sister Cindy.  Steven worked at Food Lion and Bylers for many years and made friends there.  He loved outdoor activities like cutting grass and planting flowers, having cookouts, riding his bike and going places like the Delaware State Fair, the beaches and camping. But what was most important to Steven was spending time with his family and hanging out with his friend Chris Ulrich, Jr.

Steven is survived by his brother Gene Hopkins of Ohio; sisters Bonnie Blankenship and her husband Bruce of Harrington, Connie Dean of Harrington, and Mary Yearsley and her husband Billy of Felton; nieces Lorie Wyatt and Lisa Buckler, who both helped with his care and meant so much to Steve; and many more family members.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 2 - 3:30 pm at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington where services will be held at 3:30 pm. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
