Richard Joseph "RJ" Shockley

Richard Joseph "RJ" Shockley, 52, of Milford, DE passed away on Friday, June 19 in Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. RJ was born in Milford, the son of Donna (Donovan) Dale and the late Richard Warner Shockley. RJ was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of '93. He worked as a contractor for many years. RJ enjoyed fishing, bird calling, playing pool and shuffleboard as well as watching dirt track racing, camping and riding four wheelers. Most important to RJ was spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Warner Shockley. 

He is survived by his 3 daughters Zoe Shockley, Lexi Shockley and Ashlyn Shockley; his mother Donna May (Donovan) Dale; his brother Mike Shockley; and his fiancee' Amy Hollis.

A Celebration of life for RJ will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at the South Bowers Fire Company Memorial Hall, 57 Scotts Corner Road, Milford where friends may call from 3 - 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to his children directly for their futures or to his mother to assist with the cost of the services.
