Richard Nicholas Hascup, age 77, passed away on February 4, 2026, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware.
Richard was born on January 4, 1949, in Teaneck, New Jersey. He earned his Pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, graduating with the Class of 1972, and dedicated more than 50 years to the profession of pharmacy. He spent the majority of his career serving the Milford, Delaware community and retired from Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus in 2022. His long-standing commitment to patient care and professionalism left a lasting impact on colleagues and those he served.
Outside of his career, Richard found enjoyment in gardening and working through puzzles, pursuits that reflected his patience and thoughtful nature. Above all, he was a devoted family man—a loving husband, a dedicated father, and a proud grandfather.
Richard is survived by his wife of 50 years, Christine Hascup; his son, Kevin Hascup; his daughter-in-law, Erin Hascup; his granddaughters, Evie and Finley Hascup; and his brother, Denis Hascup.
