Noela M. Coverdale

Noela M. Coverdale, 77, of Milford, DE passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Bayhealth Sussex, Milford. Noela was born in NY, NY, the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Gorman) Gorlich.

Noela was a woman of faith and a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Milford. Prior to retirement she and her husband, Earl, owned and operated Nationwide Insurance in Milford. She enjoyed spending time with her Beta Sigma Phi Sorority sisters, trips with the "girls", card nights, and jitterbugging the night away with Earl. For many years, she and Earl enjoyed boating on one of their many cleverly-named vessels. Noela valued life's sweet moments, whether it be having a glass of white Zin with family or insisting that the dessert menu be looked at first, "just in case we see something we like". 

In addition to her parents, Noela is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Stephen, Michael and Warren Gorlich. She is survived by her husband, Earl, of 59 years, son Greg (Karen), sister Alice Andrews (Don), brother Pete Gorlich (Kathy) and grandchildren Nichole, Steven, Kimberly, Shanna and Chad (Jen). Great grandchildren include Ryleigh, Corbin, Payton, Layla, Luna and Ashton, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, August 14, 2023 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Seabury Avenue and School Place, Milford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Avenue, Milford, DE  19963. Arr. by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
