Michael Smith Obituary

Michael Elwood Smith, 64, of Greenwood, DE passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. Mike was born in Milford, DE the son of the late Dale Elwood and Shirley Smith. Mike proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver for Perdue Transportation for many years before retiring due to illness. He was a member of Christian Tabernacle Church in Lincoln, DE and the Antique Tractor Club. He loved being outside and enjoyed working in his garage. Some of his projects were restoring his father-in-laws truck and a Farmall M tractor. Most important to Mike was his family, for he loved spending time with his wife and daughters every chance that he could get.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years Sandra Dee Smith and his beautiful daughters.

A walk through viewing will be held from 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Christian Tabernacle Church, 18940 Johnson Road, Lincoln where services will be held at 12 pm. Burial will be in St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood. All attendees must adhere to the current COVID-19 restrictions of mask wearing and social distancing. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to your favorite charity. Arr. by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
