Maryanne Bechaver, 79, of Milford, DE passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at the home of her son Brian. Maryanne was born on January 19, 1941 in Jersey City, NJ the daughter of the late Jerome and Louise (Pendzich) Martelli. She worked as a front office manager for both the Beachcomber and Coast Press newspapers for 20 years before retiring in 2008. Maryanne married the love of her life Robert Bechaver, Sr. on October 29, 1960 in Jersey City, NJ. She was happily married for 34 years until his passing on June 26, 1995. Together they had four boys. Maryanne always put family first in her life. One of her favorite pastimes was making Sunday and Holiday dinners and sharing family time together. Maryanne was also a dog and cat lover through the years. Maryanne was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and Great-great-grandmother. She was also a beloved Sister, Aunt and Great-Aunt.
She was a beautiful soul, selfless in her caring for family always putting others first. When thinking of her a Bible verse comes to mind which is 1 Corinthians 13:13 KJV which reads: "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity." In addition to her husband Robert, she was preceded in death by her son Steven in 1967, a brother Robert in 2004 and brother in laws Glenn in 2014 and Alfie in 2016.
Surviving are sons Robert Jr., James and Brian Steven (Kathy); 4 grandchildren: Colleen, Jeremy, Amber and Joshua; 3 step grandchildren Vinnie (Colleen), Chelsea (Matt), and Alex; 5 great grandchildren: Alexis, Hunter, Chance, Andrew and Sean Robert; 4 step great grandchildren Kalani, Maleah, Mollie and Jack; one great great granddaughter: Aubreyana; 3 Sisters: Elizabeth, Antoinette and Louise, one Brother: Anthony as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Graveside Services will be on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 12:00pm. in Holy Cross Cemetery 340 Ridge Road North Arlington, NJ 07031. Arr. by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford, DE.
