cMary Tamara "Tammy" Phillips, 57, of Lincoln, DE passed away peacefully with the love of all her family on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Tammy was born in Stroudsburg, PA the daughter of Vernon H. Walch and the late Diana Stengel. She was a graduate of Milford Senior High School and Johnson and Wales University School of Culinary Arts in Charlotte, NC. She had been working for 26 years for Aetna and Inspira Insurance companies at the time of her death. Tammy loved the ocean and lived for many years in coastal Florida. She loved her dogs and taking them for long walks and a swim and was an avid cook and gardener. She enjoyed canning and jarring in the summer and her family will never forget when she and her husband tried their hand at wine making. Wow! Who knew wine could taste like that.
Tammy was preceded in death by her mother Diana Walch. She is survived by her husband of 18 years Randy M. Phillips; her son Matthew Stefanik, her father Vernon H. Walch; brother Vernon M. Walch, sister Johnna Seal and husband Scott, brother Andrew Walch and wife Michelle, brother Keith Walch and wife Kerry, as well her grandson Boston Houck and nieces and nephews Jamie Walch, Stephen Seal, Eric Seal, Robert Seal, Sophia Walch, Genevieve Walch, Kyle Walch, Grady Walch, and Rowan Walch as well as her extended family and the Phillips family including brothers-in-law Billy Phillips and wife Debbie, Dale Phillips and wife Dawn, and sister-in-law Cheryl Baker and husband Scott.
A viewing will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, February 21st at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford. Funeral services will follow at 7:15 pm on Friday, February 21st at the funeral home. Burial will be private for family on Saturday in Milford. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Brandywine Valley S.P.C.A., Georgetown Campus, 22918 Dupont Blvd, Georgetown, DE 19947. Tammy would have loved that.
