Mary Alice Sharp

Mary Alice Sharp, 86, of Greenwood, DE passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. Mary was born in Houston, DE. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Pearl Jane (Bradley) Hammond. She was a homemaker. Mary was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Center, Milford, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Sharp in 2017,  two brothers, Robert W. Hammond and John Wesley Hammond, and a sister Sarah Marie Matthews.

She is survived by her children Jim Sharp, Jr. (Bonnie), Debbie Winkler (Bill), Jerry Sharp, Denise Conrad (John), and Darrin Sharp (Wendy); her grandchildren Chad Sharp, Cindy Warfel (Brendon), Eric Fannin (Lynn), Shannon Fitzwater (Tim), Shelly Simpson (Tim), Michael Winkler (Carey), Jerry Sharp, Jr., Pearl Zencak (Daniel), Michael Sharp (Kelly), Jason Sharp (Janet), and Justin Conrad (Laura); her great grandchildren Carissa, Alexis, Delaney, Hannah, Austin, Caitlyn, Keegan, Kohen, Brooke, Kathryn, Travis, Wyatt, Hunter, Colton, Patrick, Michael, Thomas, JJ, Hayden, Ashley, Katelyn, J.T., Owen, and Riley; and two great great grandchildren Aurora and J.J..

A viewing will be held from 12 - 1 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Lighthouse Christian Center, 347 Calvary Road, Milford where funeral services will be held at 1 pm. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE  19963 or to the Lighthouse Christian Center, 347 Calvary Road, Milford, DE  19963.
