Loretta "Laurie" Crossley

Loretta "Laurie" Crossley, 84, of Milford, Delaware passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Bayhealth Sussex Campus, Milford. Laurie was born in Queens, NY the daughter of the late Robert and Marie (Plummer) Pautz. She worked for many years as a comptroller for a small bank in New York, NY. She was very proud of the fact that she was one of the last people to attain her goal as comptroller by gaining experience working her way up through the banking industry without having to earn a college degree. She was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Milford. She enjoyed serving as a volunteer at the Milford Public Library. Laurie was an avid reader and loved doing puzzles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband of 33 years Eric E. Crossley; a stepson Daniel Crossley and a brother Robert Pautz.

She is survived by her step children Marianne Smith - Stahl and Lawrence Crossley; her grandchildren Erica, Kristen, Carolyn, Robert, Eric, Nicholas, Erika, Nicholas and Krista; and her great grandchildren Brendan, Charlotte, Arden, and Ava.

A Wake will be held from 7 - 9 pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Avenue, Milford followed by burial in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, DE. In lieu of flowers the family would like contributions be made to the Milford Public Library, 11 S.E. Front Street, Milford, DE  19963.
