Loretta Lee Pierson

Loretta Lee Pierson, 53, of Frederica, DE passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Bayhealth Sussex Campus, Milford after a long illness. Loretta was born in Honolulu, HI, the daughter of John Henderson and the late Elizabeth Henderson. She was a graduate of Milford High School.

Loretta was a member of the American Legion CKRT Post #7, Harrington and a former member of the Frederica Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Milford V.F.W. Post # 6483 and the Harrington Moose Lodge # 534 where she volunteered and bartended. She enjoyed watching motorsports and football and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. She also enjoyed fishing, camping and going to concerts. She loved being amongst people and socializing. Most important to Loretta was her grand babies, whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth (Boykin) Henderson in 2011.

She is survived by her 2 daughters Ashley Henderson and Lisa Pierson and three grandchildren Liliana, Quinn and Freya.

Friends may call from 2 - 4 pm on Tuesday, December 21 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where services will be held at 4 pm. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests that denotations be made in memory of Loretta L. Pierson to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
