Kenneth W. Jackson, 87, of Milford, DE went to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. Kenneth was born in Philadelphia, PA the son of the late Bertram and Anna Marie (Gallagher) Jackson. Ken was a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Bible. He worked in the petroleum industry for many years as a Boilermaker/welder, Machinist and Heavy Equipment Operator. After retiring he got his Real Estate license and sold and rehabbed houses. He was an industrious entrepreneur.
Above all, he was a devoted Christian and was a member of the Independent Bible Fellowship Church, where he was an active serving as a deacon and as a Sunday School teacher. He also served in the prison ministry and was the area coordinator of the "I Found It" campaign back in the 1970's. Ken enjoyed playing golf and he loved spending time laughing with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Mickey and Frank Jackson.
He is survived by his loving wife Loretta May (Lotman) Jackson, one daughter, Dale Cavallini (Larry), 3 sons, Ken Jackson (Terry), Steve Jackson (Margie) and Richard Jackson (Sarah), 2 sisters, Nancy Trainor (Bud) and Kathy Jackson,12 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at the Independent Bible Fellowship Church, 6797 Milford Harrington Hwy, Harrington, DE where a viewing will be held from 11 am to 12 pm. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Lawn Croft Cemetery, 1000 W Ridge Rd, Linwood, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to IBFC Missions program.
