Julie Jane Thomson Obituary

Julie Jane Thomson, 86, of Greenwood, passed away on June 17, 2025 at Tidalhealth Nanticoke Hospital. Julie is proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Ronald Thomson.

Julie was a dedicated and hard working woman who spent 61 years working in the local grocery stores as a proud member of the union. She was known as a spitfire of a woman who spoke her mind. She was truly a force to be reckoned with. Julie‘s whole world revolved around her family, her beloved dog Pika and other animals throughout the years.

Julie is survived by her only child Brian Wallace  Thomson Sr and his wife, Windy  of Greenwood; her grandchildren Destiny Thomson Hahn, Brian Wallace Thomson Jr., Spenser Hahn and Amanda Smith; Aunt Sue Stokham. Her best friend Pam Kowalchick; and she will be forever missed by Windy’s family, who always embraced her as their own.

A viewing will be held from 11 am to 12 pm on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where services will be held at 12 pm. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, Georgetown Campus, 22918 Dupont Blvd, Georgetown, DE 19947.
