Julia Lane Holleger

Julia Lane Holleger, 91, of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Brandywine Living Seaside Pointe (Reflections), Rehoboth Beach, DE. She was born on June 29, 1932 and grew up in Milford, DE, daughter of the late Ashton and Elta (Hill) Lane. 

Julia was a homemaker and worked at L.D. Caulk.

She was one of twelve children and was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Bayard Holleger.. 

She is survived by her three sons, Bayard, Jr. (Denise), of Rehoboth Beach, DE; Brian J. (Sheila) of Smyrna, DE; and Randall S. (Monda) of Royersford, PA; nine grandchildren, Victoria, SHannon, Kelly, Laura, Mary, Dianne, Paul, Beth, and John; eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; one surviving brother Ray Lane (Lorita) of Tallahassee, FL; two surviving sister in laws, Mely Lane of Virginia Beach, VA and Hilda Holleger of Milford, DE, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. 

Her presence will be deeply missed and genuinely missed by all who were fortunate to know her.

A visitation will be held at 10 am on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Interment will be in Milford Community Cemetery, 850 N. Dupont Blvd, Milford. 

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude, support and love for the wonderful care provided to Julia and her family by the staff, nurses, and aides of Brandywine Living (Reflections) and AccentCare Hospice. In lieu of flowers, Julia had requested that a donation in her memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
