Joseph Lee "Joe Mac" McIlvain, 30, of Milford, DE passed suddenly on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Joe was born in Milford, DE the son of Donald Lee Jr. and Paige (Dickerson) McIlvain. Joe was a graduate of Milford High School, then went on to work at Baltimore Air Coil, where he worked until the time of his passing. Joe was an avid sports fan and was a devout Dallas Cowboys fan and a Baltimore Orioles fan. He was a member of the billiards league, enjoyed fishing, and any outdoor sports activity. He loved music, especially singing his rendition of Elvis Presley’s Jailhouse Rock as “Joe Mac Rock”. All who knew Joe, know that he was a faithful and devoted friend to many, and had the biggest heart. Joe was affiliated with the Lighthouse Christian Center since childhood. Joe was preceded in death by his grandmother Harriet McIlvain, his uncle Ric Mabry, and his faithful dog Lincoln.
He is survived by his parents Paige and Donald McIlvain; his brother John Reese McIlvain and his fiancee' Ciana Carbone; his maternal grandparents Jay and Ruth Ann Dickerson; his paternal grandfather Donald McIlvain, Sr.; an aunt Donna Mabry; an uncle Dennis McIlvain and his wife JoAnn; an uncle Jay Reese Dickerson, Jr. and his wife Kim; as well as several cousins.
A viewing will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, DE 19963 where services will be held at 1 pm. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Rt. 113, Milford. The family requests that everyone come casually dressed in either Cowboys or Orioles attire or colors. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Milford Pop Warner Youth Football Program; P.O. Box 154, Milford, DE 19963.
