John Henry Geyer III

John Henry Geyer III went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at age 77. John was born to John Henry II and Mildred (Tingle) Geyer on February 8, 1944. John always had a true love for his wife. He would often tell his children and grandchildren that he fell in love with Grace Dutton in the 2nd grade. Then he would explain how he continued to follow her around all the way through their graduation from Milton Consolidated School in 1962. He married Grace on June 15, 1963, and they had four children, John, Tammy, Tonya, and Tricia. Their love for each other was never questionable, and it only grew throughout their 58 years of marriage.

John also had a strong work ethic and always worked hard to provide for his family. In addition to being a dedicated husband and loving father, John also loved gardening. His favorite part was giving away his vegetables and talking to anyone who stopped by. He would often say that people need someone to listen to their story. John also obtained a Bachelor of Theology from Liberty Bible College and held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him.

John joins his son, John Geyer IV; granddaughter, Ailish Geyer; and son-in-law, Joshua Jahnke in Heaven. He is survived by his wife, Grace; three daughters, Tammy Carpenter, Tonya Kauffman, and Tricia Jahnke; 11 grandchildren; and his brother, Clifford (Jeannie) Geyer.

A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Pilgrim Chapel, 4792 Milford - Harrington Highway, Harrington where funeral services will be held at 12 noon.
