James R. "Jim" Richardson, Sr., of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born in Neptune, NJ the son of the late Roy and Mercedes (Marrero) Richardson. He was a truck driver, and over the years worked for Rex Lumber Co. in Englishtown, NJ for 34 years, then after moving to Delaware worked for Dukes Lumber, Coastal Lumber and Townsend Chevrolet before retiring. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed John Wayne movies, was a huge Motown fan, and was a tried and true devote Clemson Tigers football fan.
Jim is survived by the love of his life, his wife Diana; 3 children Jennifer Bailey (Matthew), James Richardson, Jr. (Melissa), and Robert Richardson (Jessica); Jim's pride and joy, his grandchildren Austin Bailey, Henry Richardson, and Cole Richardson; a brother John Richardson (Alice) and a sister Norma Ferber (Richard).
A viewing will be held from 12 - 1 pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where a time of sharing will be held at 1 pm. The family requests that no flowers be sent, but contributions can be made in Jim's name to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
