Helene Agnes Reed

Helene Agnes Christensen Reed of Milford, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, in Leesburg, Virginia. Helene was born in New York City, the daughter of Alfred B. Christensen and Helen K. (Doll) Christensen, on May 25, 1928. After her graduation from Packard Business School, she was an executive secretary at Johns Manville Corporation, in NYC, and then became a homemaker and mother. Helene was very active in numerous organizations, including the United Federation of Doll Clubs, Milford Chapter, of which she was a founding member, Shawnee Extension Club, and Reformation Lutheran Church LCW. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, James R. Reed.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, (Kathy A. McCarty Morrow and husband, Lewis; Nancy A. McCarty Sutton and husband, William) 3 step-children (Nancy J. Reed Rock and husband, Robert; Andrew D. Reed and wife, Lynn; Janice M. Reed ), 5 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 4 step great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 pm, November 13, 2022, at Reformation Lutheran Church, 613 Lakeview Ave., Milford. Visitation with the family will be at 2:30pm. Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Reformation Lutheran Church or Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork St. #405 , Winchester, VA 22601. Arr. by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
