Gertraude Pink, 85, of Milford, DE passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. Born in Munich, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Karoline (Wintersburger) Gundel. Gertraude was married to the love of her life, Col. Gordon S. Pink, for 66 years. She was a homemaker as well as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother known to all as "Oma". She loved gardening, sewing, interior decorating, angels, and any animals. She especially loved caring for her many beloved Scottie dogs that she had over the years. Gertraude will also always be remembered for her passion for the Christmas Season. Anyone walking past her home during the holiday season would be entertained daily with the joyful sounds of Christmas music from around the world. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Irmgard Metz and her love, Gordon, who passed in 2011.
She is survived by her children Diana Martorano (Matthew), Debbie Musumeci (John), Ray Pink (Cindy), Bryan Pink (Andrew), Doreen Houser and Dale Pink (Heather) a sister Stutzi Stieglmair, as well as 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and her beloved dog, her Westi "Peaches".
