Garrette L. Slonacher, 53, of Greenwood, DE passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Bayhealth Sussex Campus, Milford. Garrette was born in Dover, DE the son of Ken Cooper and the late Frances Slonacher. He was a computer network engineer and the owner and operator of Command Automation. He was a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy Program and specialized in cyber security. He was also involved with Cub Scout and Boy Scout Troop 186 at Avenue U.M. Church in Milford for many years. He loved motorcycles, music and above all his Family. In addition to his mother, Garrette was preceded in death by a brother Matt Hammond.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Amy J. (Hazzard) Slonacher; his 3 sons Nicholas Slonacher, Tristan Slonacher and Brendan Slonacher; his father and stepmother Ken and Linda Cooper; and his four brothers David Hammond (Tiffany), James Hammond, Christian Cooper (Kristina) and Alexander Cooper.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where services will be held at 11 am. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to a charity that Garrette supported, the Oscar Mike Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps injured veterans through adaptive sports and other programs.
