Charlotte Ann Wyatt

Charlotte Ann Wyatt, 97, of Harrington, DE passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family. Charlotte was born at home on the family farm in Slaughter Neck, DE, on July 16, 1928, the daughter of the late F. Layton and Sallie (Stevenson) Bennett. She was a graduate of Milford High School, class of 1946. She worked as an operator for Bell Telephone for many years, then worked at Delmarva Power as a clerk before retiring. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, the Harrington Senior Center, and former member of the Harrington Historical Society and the Red Hatters. In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Melvin R. Wyatt in 2020, two sisters Carrie Johnson and Sara Mae Webb, and her two brothers Norman Bennett and Fenwick Bennett. 

She is survived by a daughter Judy Renfrow and her husband Larry; two sons Rob Wyatt and his wife Brenda and Chris Wyatt and his wife Crystal; 4 grandchildren Matt Renfrow and his wife Alison, Ashley Pollock and her husband John, Andrea Maloney and her husband Ryan and Mel Wyatt and his wife Jessi; as well as 10 great grandchildren.

Our family wishes to sincerely thank the caregivers who provided much love and compassion to our mother over the years.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 29, 2026 at Hollywood Cemetery, Milford Harrington Highway, Harrington. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Harrington Senior Center, 101 Railroad Avenue, Harrington, DE 19952 or to a charity of your choice.
