Charlene Beene, 93, of Harrington, DE passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on May 27, 2026. The daughter of the late Charles A. and Mabel Z. (Wills) Price, Charlene was born in Covington, KY before moving to Delaware in the 1940s. She worked as a machine operator at General Foods in Dover before retiring in 1988 after 24 years. She was a long-time active member of the CKRT Post #7, of the American Legion Auxiliary in Harrington, and served in various elected leadership positions. During her 60+ years volunteering with the organization, she was also active at the state level and proud of her work with Girls State. She was also a member of the Harrington Senior Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 3 brothers Charles (and Barbara) Price, David Price and Phillip Price.
She is survived by a son Burton Vincent and his wife Mary; grandchildren Charles Vincent (Shelley), Christina Salmon (Matt), and Peter Vincent (Alaina); great grandchildren Grace, Audrey, Pierson, Henry, Ellie, and Juliet; a niece Lori Price; her cousin Barbie Clark and husband Richard, and many close and dear friends.
