Caroline McKim Obituary

Caroline McKim passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on January 26, 2025. She was born on September 17, 1931, in Camden, NJ.   She was preceded in death by her Loving Parents, Arthur and Caroline Kissinger, and the “Love of her Life” for years, Jack McKim.  Caroline is survived by a Sister, Margaret Grove of Henrico, VA, and several Nieces and Nephews, her Dear Friend and “like her very own daughter” as Caroline would often say, Mary Hitchens of Harrington, DE, and her Friend, Diana Barnard of Milford, DE.

Caroline will long be remembered for many things, like being a house “Fixer Upper” along side of her Husband Jack; they were quite the Duo!  She also, loved decorating her home and entertaining friends in their home, by cooking and baking for their enjoyment; truly a passion of hers!

Also, she was quite talented, in her day, as a seamstress, and enjoyed knitting things for her friends!  She loved digging in the dirt and every aspect of gardening, and it was evidenced by the beautiful yard that she kept.  She loved sporting clays and was apparently, quite good at it!

Caroline and her husband will be remembered for rescuing many dogs over the years and caring and loving them as if they were their children.      When they lived in Camden, NJ, she worked, for years, as a Secretary, for RCA,  and always said,“ I loved my job!”

More times than enough, Caroline was remembered as saying, “Give me my good old days back!”  But, also, she said many times, “I lived a good life”;  she was very thankful to God for each new day and expressed it!

We would like to thank her wonderful caregivers, Lisa Maglione and Theresa Fisher, who lovingly cared for her while she was still in her home in Milford, and for The Country Rest Home in Greenwood, DE for their love and care of Caroline during her stay there; she expressed many times that she loved the Staff there.  Caroline will truly be missed by all who were privileged to know her, and to know her, was to love her.

It was requested, by Caroline,  there be no Viewing or Burial Service; she just wanted to go Home and be with her Beloved Husband, Jack.
