Carol C. May

Carol C. May, 82, of Harrington, DE and formerly of, Danbury, CT, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Bayhealth Kent General, Dover. Carol was born in Jamaica, NY the daughter of Moe and Mildred (Golub) Schatzer. Before moving to Delaware, Carol and John both worked at Grolier Publishing for many years. Once in Delaware, she worked as an administrator for Farm Family Insurance for many years. She loved to read romance novels, enjoyed working in her yard and decorating her house. She also loved her cats. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Joseph May in 2005, a daughter Michelle Diamond and a sister Marion Pack.

She is survived by her children Lynda Rogers (Tracy), Matthew May, Danielle De Lessio (Todd), and Jonathan May; her grandchildren Bryan, Melissa, Michael and James; her great grandchildren Calli, Colten and Lucy; a sister-in-law Annette May as well as several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 10 - 11 am on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where services will be held at 11 am. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE  19963.
