Betty Lou Reinbold Huffman, 92, of Harrington, DE passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2026, in Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, Dover. Betty was born in Lebanon, PA, the daughter of the late Charles Albert and Bertha Cora (Daub) Reinbold. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years for various businesses and the family business till age 75 and the farm. She attended Trinity U. M. Church in Harrington and the Reformation Lutheran Church in Milford where she enjoyed singing in both church choirs.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and crafting, but also liked to garden, plant trees and grow and care for her flowers. Betty's passion was cooking, baking and candy making with her youngest son, sharing what had been made, especially at Christmas. She also enjoyed making big dinners at her home. She had quite an extensive recipe collection.
Betty was a member of the Eastern Star Kent Chapter 11 and held the position of Worthy Matron in 1969. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ira Huffman and her 3 brothers, other family and lifelong crafter, fiber artist, needle worker and singing friends.
She is survived by 2 sons, 1 brother, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family and friends in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
A Celebration of Betty's Life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 63 Commerce Street, Harrington, DE 19952, where friends may visit with the family from 1 - 2 pm. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made in her name to either
Trinity United Methodist Church, 63 Commerce Street, Harrington, DE 19952, Sattazahn Lutheran Church, 185 Green Point School Rd, Jonestown, Pa 17038, or to Harrington Fire Company, 20 Clark Street, Harrington, DE 19952.
