In Loving Memory of Andrew Colin Brooks
Andrew Colin Brooks, 38, of Milford, Delaware, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Andrew was the beloved son of Joan (Busfield) Krauss and Robert Brooks. Andrew was a dedicated heavy equipment operator for Eastern Shore Construction, where he was proudly employed at the time of his passing. Outside of work, Andrew’s true joy was found in the great outdoors. He loved hunting, boating, fishing, and crabbing, especially when it meant sharing fresh seafood meals with family. Andrew was also incredibly handy and had a natural talent for solving problems with ease, whether it was fixing something around the house, on the job, or crafting beautifully designed canes and walking sticks that showcased his creativity and skill.
Above all, Andrew treasured his family. He is survived by his cherished daughter, Jamie Brooks; his beloved son, Colin Brooks; his loving mother and stepfather, Joan (Busfield) and Philip Krauss; his father, Robert Brooks; his sister, Nicole Brooks Hansen, and her husband, Michael; and his brother, Robert F. Brooks; step siblings, Philip T Krauss (Crystal), Alison Krauss (Francis Felice). Daniel Krauss, and Emily (Krauss) Williamson (Keith)
Andrew will be remembered for his big heart, his love of family and nature, and the lasting impression he left on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life for Andrew will be held on August 23, 2025 in Dover. Please contact a family member if you wish to attend.
