Terry Lee Easterday of Milford, DE, formerly of West Lawn and Adamstown, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. He was born on January 30, 1950 in Bethlehem, PA. He was one of four sons born to the late Kenneth and Florence (Owens) Easterday. He is survived by his wife Linda Ann (Hohl) Easterday, one daughter Michele Reddig (Scott); one son Mark Easterday (Leah); two grandchildren Nicole and David Reddig; and two brothers Kenneth Easterday, Jr. (Pat) and Brian Easterday (Gwen). He was preceded in death by his brother Glenn Easterday.
Most important to Terry was his family. He was devoted to his wife of 46 years and steadfastly loved his children. He took extreme pride in his grandchildren.
In his last months, Terry’s thoughts turned nostalgic. There were stories from his childhood – trips to the family farm, Little League games, wrestling matches, and big meals prepared by his mother. He loved talking about his time at Liberty-Freedom High School, Bloomsburg University, and his cherished brothers at Delta Pi Fraternity. There were stories about working in the insurance industry and how he was still better at numbers than any of us. He spoke about his love of the Phillies and Eagles. He also took great pride in being “Coach” Easterday and supporting the early years of girls’ soccer in Berks County.
Terry was an avid photographer and we are grateful for the many pictures he took of his travels. He captured cruises, trips to Disneyworld, forts and museums, whale watches, and adventures out west to name just a few. It is the pictures of his family and the quiet moments we spent together that we will treasure most of all.
His legacy is great.
A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held at Stradling Funeral Home, Ephrata on Friday November 30, 2018 at 11am. Arr. in Delaware by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
