Nina J. Jenkins

Nina J. Jenkins, 77, formerly of Milford, DE passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 in Lewes. Nina was born in Milford the daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Burlingame) Jewell. She worked as a cook at Norma’s Restaurant in Milton, at Bonanza in Milford, and catered for many private affairs. She also was a caretaker for the elderly. Nina became a minister and enjoyed spreading the word of the Lord. She served as Chaplain of the ABATE Motorcycle Organization. She loved flowers, to cook, bake cakes and crochet. She was an animal lover and raised many dogs in her day. Nina also owned a trike and enjoyed riding the roads with her faithful dog Nellie at her side. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Emory, her daughter Noreen Bryan and two brothers Leonard and Harry Jewell.

She is survived by her daughter Laura Gott; her son Nathan Carter; two sisters Charlene Fuller and Shirley Fawley; two brothers David Carter and Paul Jewell; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Milford Community Cemetery, Rt.113, Milford. Arr. by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford. Letters of condolence may be sent and shared with the family at www.loflandandmcknatt.com.
