Martin Ross (M.R.) Rhea, Jr., 76, passed away Friday July 21st in Seaford, DE after a short battle with lung and pancreatic cancer. He was formerly from Russellville, Tennessee and a veteran of the US Navy, TACRON  (Viet Nam 1961-1966).  He also lived in Bracey, Virginia for many years.

While living in Virginia, he worked as a real estate agent and broker for Tanglewood Land Company.  He was also involved in other ventures as well.  Such as a restaurant, motel, and marina/convenience store all in Bracey.

He was preceded in death by his parents Martin Ross Rhea, Sr. and Maudie Marie Kanipe Rhea. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Imogene Bennett Powers.

He is survived by his daughter Melissa Rhea Cook of Bridgeville, Delaware, grand daughters, Kayra(Chris) Enger and Emili Cook (Brian Duncan), and  great  grandchildren Mariah Cook, Riley and Alexa Enger and Janelle, Jordyn, Brian Jr., and Maci Duncan also of Delaware.  He is also  survived by his sisters Judy (Roy) Livesay, Linda (Hackie) Voiles, Peggy Lakins, Bobbie (Eddie) Breeding and Brenda Davis and several nieces and nephews.

There are no services at this time.  There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date in Tennessee.

Arrangements handled through Lofland Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, please make a one-time donation to a Veterans organization, such as, Wounded Warriors Project, AMVETS, VFW, or any homeless Veterans shelter in memory of Martin.
