Kay Lynn (Timko) Meade, 64, of Milford, DE passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Kay was born in Wilmington the daughter of the late Andrew and Lois M. (Stewart) Timko.
Prior to her death, anyone who knew Kay, would not be surprised that she took the time to summarize how she would like to be remembered at the time of her passing. Kay had written the following: “If you are reading this, then at this moment I am more alive than ever before, in the very arms of my King and Savior, Jesus Christ. My accomplishments, education, employment, or any of those things typically printed in obituaries are now irrelevant. All that matters is that I, like you, was born a fallen, sinful human being; that the God of all Creation offered me His gift of salvation through taking the punishment I deserved by dying on a Cross for me; and that I accepted His gift. Best decision I ever made!”
She continued: “My family and friends remaining behind are sad, but blessed because they can know exactly where I am. Please consider leaving this same gift to your own loved ones when your days on earth are completed!”
In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her two sisters Holly Schwab and Andra Sue Malloy.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years Robert Meade; her daughter Amanda Meade Trovato and her husband James; her son Andrew Stephen Meade and his wife Erica; and her precious grandchildren David and Abby.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church Street, Milford where a Celebration of Kay’s Life will be held at 11 am.
