Donna Renee Stayton, RN, 52, of Millsboro, DE passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford after a long illness. Donna was born in Milford, DE the daughter of Frank L. Stayton and the late Diane L. (Mitchell) Stayton. She was a graduated from Del Tech with a bachelors degree in Nursing. She started her career working for Dr Palakar for 16 years. She then went to work at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, working there for 7 years. Donna loved working at Nanticoke and was known for going that extra mile to make sure that the patients were comfortable and received the care that they expected. Donna was a very independent woman. In her spare time, she loved to read books and take in as much information as she could about any subject. She also enjoyed doing crafts  and especially spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her mother Diane L. (Mitchell) Stayton on April 6, 2017.

She is survived by her daughter Jessica Renee Dyer Stayton, her son Matthew R. Heck and a niece who she raised as a daughter Nakomi Jarin; her father and stepmother Frank and Dinah K. Stayton; her sister and brothers Debra Blessing and her husband Russel, Calvin Gillespie and his wife Susan, Ronald Gillespie, Mark Gillespie and his wife Lillie, Robert Stayton and Daniel Stayton.

A viewing will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where a Celebration of Donna's Life will be held at 1 pm. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
