Russell C. Delosier, Jr. MSG USAF Retired, 87, of Milford, DE passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford surrounded by his family and friends. Russell was born December 20, 1929 in Baltimore, MD the eldest son of the late Russell C. Sr. and Alice L. Delosier. He was raised and attended schools in Sunbury, PA. Having enlisted in the United States Air Force on November 4, 1947, he served his country proudly for 20 years before retiring in November 1967. His tours of duty included foreign assignments in Japan, Germany, France, and Korea as well as various state side assignments.

Upon retirement, he was employed for many years by F. N. Webster & Co. of Milford, DE and Rehoboth Beach, DE. He is currently a member of the Masonic Lodge #86 of Wichita, KS; a Past Exalted Ruler of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks of Milford, Lodge # 2401 of which he held various offices at the National, State, and local levels. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, fishing, reading and listening to country music. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years Dorothy (Dot); son Russell Carl; brothers Donnie G. Delosier and Joseph B. Delosier; parents Russell C. Sr. and Alice L. Delosier; sister and brother-in-law Betty and John Brininger; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Helen Mae and Robert Tull.

He is survived by his daughter Susan K. Holston and her husband Gary; granddaughter Elizabeth (Libby) Holston; great-granddaughter Keilani Holston; daughter-in-law Michelle (Shelly) Delosier; grandsons Chase and Robby Delosier; great grandsons Cash and Chance Delosier; brother Wm. Foster Delosier and his wife Linda; sister-in-laws Linda Delosier and Norma Pennington; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 11 am to 12 pm on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where Elk Services will be held at 12 noon followed by Memorial Services. Interment with Military Honors will be at Henlopen Memorial Park, Rt. 1, south of Milton. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, #205, New Castle, DE  19720.
