MaryEllen (Bond) Lowry, 86, of Lincoln, DE, formerly of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Harbor Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lewes. Mrs. Lowry was born in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Ellen Gardner (Hamilton) Fowler. She was a homemaker. When living in Philadelphia, MaryEllen was very active in Eastern Star, the Boy Scouts (where she served as a Cub Scout leader), and the Girl Scouts (where she served as a Girl Scout leader). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Warren L. Bond in 2002, her second husband John F. Lowry in 2004, her two sons Stephen Bond and John Lowry, Jr., and her great grandson Isaiah Love Sellers.

She is survived by two sons Bruce Bond of Florida and Philip Bond, of Philadelphia, PA; one daughter Nancy Landis, of Lincoln; a step daughter Karen Lowry, of Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm  on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Adoration Chapel at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made in MaryEllen's name to a favorite charity of your choice. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford, DE.
