Lydia Pearl Breeding, 89, of Milford, DE passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Milford Center. Pearl was born in Milford, the daughter of the late James Edward and Lillie (Jewell) Peterson. She was a homemaker. Pearl was proud to be a Native American and was a member of the Cherokee Indian Tribe. She was also a member of the Milford V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Greenwood Cheer Center, Greenwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband John J. Fister; her second husband William Goff; three sisters Florence Vernotico, Sally Stratton and Lillie "Winkie" Helmick and one brother Joseph "Buddy" Peterson.

She is survived by her husband Laverne Breeding; one daughter Rita J. Kirk; two sons John J. Fister and his wife Judy and James E. Fister and his companion Suzy Warren; four grandchildren John Fister and his wife Peggy, Jana Demby and her husband Lamar, Justin Kirk and his wife Kristel and Ashley Houdbert and her husband Etienne; 7  great grandchildren Nola Houdbert, Logan Kirk, Taylor Fister, Tyler Leyanna, Mia Demby, Marquis Demby and Marissa Hampton, and two great great grandchildren Khloe and Cali Leyanna.

A viewing will be held from 10 - 11 AM on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Lighthouse Christian Center, 662 Milford - Harrington Highway, Milford where a Celebration of Pearl's Life will be held at 11 AM. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Milford V.F.W.
