Herbert H. DeVol, TSGT, USAF Retired, 81, of Harrington, DE passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Milford Center, Genesis Eldercare. Herbert was born in Marietta, Ohio, the son of the late Robert and Grace (Johnson) DeVol. He joined the Air Force in 1956, serving our country for 20 years before retiring in 1968 as a TSGT. Herbert loved Civil War History and enjoyed being a Union Soldier with the local Civil War Reinactment Group.

He is survived by his two daughters Lisa M. Johnson and her husband Gary and Connie Tinsley and her husband Steve; one son Travis DeVol; and his grandchildren Heather Gunston, Gabrielle Johnson, Gary Johnson II, Tyler Banks and Wayne Shamp.

Services with Air Force Honors will begin at 2 pm on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the American Legion C.K.R.T. Post #7, 17448 S Dupont Hwy, Harrington, DE 19952.
