Henrietta H. Legates, 83, of Harrington, DE passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at home. Henrietta was born in Greensboro, MD the daughter of the late Henry and Elma (Reynolds) Harris. She worked as a secretary at Playtex in Dover before retiring after 28 years. Henrietta was a member of the Harrington Senior Center, the Harrington Moose Lodge and the Independent Bible Fellowship Church, of Harrington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul H. Legates in 2008; her sisters Mildred Walmsley on August 24, 2017, Blanche Carr, Lola Elwanger, Eileen Wilson, and Margaret Dill; and her brothers Solumn Harris, Russell Harris, Nobele Harris, George Harris, and William Harris.

She is survived by two sons Doug Legates and his wife Donna and Bobby Legates and his wife Darlene; two grandsons Lance Brown and his wife Lori, and Robert Cubbage; two great grandchildren Abbey Brown and Charlie Brown; and her loving caregiver Sally Dawson.

A viewing will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington where services will be held at 1 pm. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Milford - Harrington Highway, Harrington.
