Eric E. Crossley, 84, of Milford, DE formerly of North Massapequa, Long Island, NY passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Eric was born in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Eric and Mary (Wheeler) Crossley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict on the USS Pittsburgh.
He was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Milford and was a volunteer with the Friends of the Milford Library. He enjoyed golf and bowling and in his younger days, enjoyed playing softball. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Crossley and two sisters Patricia Driscoll and Marilyn Pufahl.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Laurie Crossley, his children Daniel Crossley, Marianne Smith - Stahl and Lawrence Crossley; his grandchildren Erica, Kristen, Carolyn, Robert, Eric, Nicholas, Erika, Nicholas and Krista; and his great grandchildren Brendan and Charlotte.
A Wake will be held from 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Thursday, April 5 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Avenue, Milford. Burial with military honors will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made in Eric's name to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
