Edith Mae (Brownell) Holleyman, 92, of Milford, DE and formerly of Monroe, LA, departed her earthly home to be with our Lord on April 9, 2017 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Edith was born November 19, 1924 in Baskin, LA the daughter of the late David S. and Willie (Lourey) Brownell. She was a homemaker. Edith was a member of the New Life Baptist Church in Milford. She loved to do word find puzzle books and enjoyed watching both the Game Show Network and T.B.N. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband John Franklin Holman in 1952 and her second husband John Elwyn "Tex" Holleyman in 2010; one sister Floy Ferguson and two brothers Neal and Fife Brownell.

She is survived by her son Johnny Holman and his wife Joyce, of Milford; grandchildren Dawn Davila, of Frederica; Jennifer Holman, of Harrington; Spring Browder, of LA;  April Arnold, of TX; Felina Massey, of LA and J.R. Shook, of TX; as well as several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 11 am to 12 pm on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where funeral services officiated by Pastor Troy Laallee will be held at 12 noon. Services in Louisiana will be held on Thursday, April 20, at Griffin Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with interment in Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe, LA. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to either the New Life Baptist Church, 945 South DuPont Highway, Milford, DE  19963 or to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE  19963.
